About Us Jan Gross started creating bold and romantic gardens on the Mendocino coast in 1977. Her deep love for gardening was the seed that grew into Heritage Landscapes. Over the years, the company has successfully grown to twenty-five employees serving a discriminating clientele in Marin County, California. As a family business, our goal is to create a happy and rewarding environment for our employees. Jan, along with her daughter, son and son-in-law, are surrounded by supportive and knowledgeable people who take great pride in making the most beautiful and sustainable landscapes for our clients. We are committed to using organic methods and the best industry technologies. We are devoted to excellence in craftsmanship. Our award-winning work has been highlighted in garden tours and featured in "Better Homes and Gardens," "Sunset Magazine," the California Landscape Contractors Association, and the Marin Independent Journal.
